New Publication in Science Advances

Our group’s study on the reactions of SO₂ with urban surfaces has been published in Science Advances. The research demonstrates that these interactions generate organic sulfur compounds, revealing a previously unrecognized pathway for sulfur compound formation in urban environments.

This finding has significant implications for understanding urban air quality and the atmospheric sulfur cycle, particularly in densely populated cities where building surfaces provide extensive reactive surfaces.
